Neil McGill
original acrylic art • landscape & abstract
Neil McGill is a self-taught artist based in Linlithgow, Scotland.
A software engineer by day, Neil began experimenting with acrylic paints as a hobby almost 20 years ago, and soon fell in love with the medium. Initially inspired by the vivid colours and impressionist styles of artists like Van Gogh, he eventually came to find his own signature style, bursting with colour and loose, natural forms.
Many of his pieces are inspired by the rolling landscapes (and the sheep!) of Scotland, which he missed dearly while living abroad for 15 years – hence, Lost Scotsman Art.
